This is a documentary following the career of porn starlet Annie Sprinkles.Hosted by herself in 1997 and accompanied by her one woman off broadway play,we get the chance to see some of Annie’s Favorite and most dreaded scenes of her career with her adding commentary and insight of sorts on what it was like to do the shoots.She started her career in 1971 and it spanned over two decades .During the later stages in her cereer she went into some real strange territories along the way.The begining is pretty standard porn and we get the uncensored look at some of her early work which is just mainly staright porn with not much to it but bad acting and poor video and lots and lots of hair.Around 1978 Annie became a bit of a outcast in the industry deemed to extreme for mainstream porn as she went on to do alot of hardcore fetish porn such as S&M bondage,Fisting,Golden showers,"Brown" showers ( use your imagination here folks) and "Rainbow" showers (vomiting) and even some very odd amputee porn.After we get a look at some of her seedier works including a rape fantasy porn,Annie moved on in the 80’s to make her own movies including "Deep inside Annie Sprinkles" an interactive porn of sorts.During the late 80’s she started doing some more avant garde porn including "Art " Porn and a Female to male Transsexual "Docu - Porn" featuring a Female to male Trangendered fella and we learn how His/Her new Penis works,which is disurbing in it’s own right.During the 90’s her career started to wind down and she started doing these Shows like the one we have here documenting her career and showing some classic loops and vintage erotica along with her on stage commenting all the way through it.This is a enjoyable little documentary if you are interested in learning a bit about the "Golden " days of porn,when porn was considered chic.if you are not interested in seeing xxx footage than avoid this one because basically all this is ,is clips from porns with no editing whatsoever,so this one is not for prudes or children.I for one find the history of pornography fascinating so I enjoyed this one thoroughly although I could have went without the scene of bloody tampon fetishes and the scat and vomit,and there is a few scenes with a guy taking some very large items up his ass that i found a bit disturbing but other than that it is fun and it seems that Good ol’ Annie actually enjoyed her time as a starlet unlike many other retired porn stars who seem very bitter and taken advantage of i.e. Linda Lovelace.So if you are into vintage erotica and porn this one is definitley worth a watch otherwise there is no reason to watch it,other than maybe for a film class or something .Pretty interesting documentary and annie is still pretty hot after all these years,well at least she was in 98 when this was produced.Fun film too watch with a group of friends have some drink and some laughs.Although for the most part i dont advocate watching porn among friends this is an exeption due to the documentary aspect of it.The DVD is rather rare and does come with a few extras that are rather good.There are two alternate commentaries ,A Short version of her One woman stage show and another shorter documentary on the art of the classic loops (only vintage porn affecianados will understand that one).If you enjoy any of the 42nd street petes vintage erotica sets than this will be right up your alley.
